Here is my home cooked roms for the Haipad M701 models with 256 MB ram. So far 2Gb Samsung, 4Gb Micron and 4Gb Hynix models are supported.
Note: New 512 MB devices are not supported!

Tools
Full package of compiler, packing/unpacking tools and helper scripts here. Contains sources x86 linux binaries and sources.
Rooting
From MalaRom 1.1.0 it is no longer necessary to root device, since this rom is already rooted.

Virus scanners normally report one of the files as a trojan. Technically it is true, but we use that trojan to root the device. So it is ok.
You might want to disable virus scanner while doenloading/unpacking/rooting.
You need to have ADB driver (below) installed for this to work.
ADB Drivers
Google ADB drivers modyfied to recognize M701(-R) tablet here. Should work for both 32 and 64 bit Windows XP - 7.
Instructions:
1. Plug in tablet
2. Open Control Panel -> DeviceManager
3. Find unrecognized device (mt57e, tcc8900 or such)
4. Right-click device and choose update/install driver
5. Browse to folder with unpacked ADB driver
